The pump malfunctioned from the beginning. Never came back up after you pumped it, and after only a couple of months, it was stuck in the post-pump position and needed a herculean effort to pull it back up. We're looking for a different brand.

beautiful design, flawed function

Like the other review here, the pump never worked properly. Soap leaks out of the straw in the interior head of the unit and clogs the spring and pump mechanism, which causes the pump to stick to inside the base. I tried using WD-40 to lubricate the metal, which worked for just a few days, but once again, the pump got stuck in the base. Sleek design is pointless if it doesn't work.

We have 2 in our bathroom.
1 got stuck as others have described in about 6 months. The other
has been working fine after over 2 years.
